Or raise it in the dashboard: Settings → Organisation → Delete Organisation.

- All contacts, messages, media, conversation and chatbot session history
- Campaigns, templates, flows, canned responses, tags and notes
- WhatsApp account connections, access tokens and app secrets
- Analytics, call logs and any call recordings
- API keys and webhook configurations
1.4 What is retained, and why
We are legally required to keep some records. These are retained in restricted-access systems and are not used for any operational purpose:
| Retained | Reason | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices, payment and tax records | Company and tax law (India: books of account, currently 8 years) | As legally required |
| Audit and security logs | Fraud prevention, incident investigation, legal defence | 12 months |
| Records of the deletion request itself | To evidence compliance | 3 years |
| Data under legal hold | Where subject to a live legal claim or lawful order | Until the hold lifts |
1.5 What we cannot delete
Messages already delivered to WhatsApp are outside our control. Once Meta has transmitted a message, a copy exists on Meta's systems and on the recipient's device. Deleting your Yukto account does not remove it from either. For data held by Meta, use Meta's own tools and privacy contacts.
Likewise, your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number belong to your Meta Business Portfolio, not to Yukto. Deleting your Yukto account disconnects us from them but does not delete them from Meta.
Section 2
Individuals who received a message
If a business messaged you on WhatsApp using Yukto, that business controls your data, not us. We process it only on their instructions.
Step 1Contact the business directly. Reply to their WhatsApp message asking for your data to be deleted, or use the contact details on their website. They are responsible for responding to requests concerning the data they control.
Step 2To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to the WhatsApp conversation. You can also block the number, or report it, inside WhatsApp.
Step 3If you cannot reach them, email privacy@yukto.app with the subject "End User Data Deletion Request" and include:
- The WhatsApp phone number that messaged you
- Your own phone number, in international format
- What you want deleted
We will acknowledge within 2 business days, identify the relevant Client, forward your request, and require them to act on it. Where the law places the obligation directly on us, or the Client fails to respond within a reasonable period, we will delete the data ourselves and confirm to you. We will keep you informed and will not charge you.
You may also complain to the Grievance Officer at grievance@yukto.app, as identified in our Privacy Policy, or to your data protection authority.
Section 3
Revoking a Facebook or Meta connection
If you connected your WhatsApp Business Account to Yukto using Facebook login, you can revoke that access at any time.
From Yukto: Settings → Accounts → select the account → Delete. This removes the stored access token and app secret from our systems immediately.
From Meta, to revoke at source:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, or Meta Business Suite → Business Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps.
- Find the Meta application connected to Yukto in the list.
- Select Remove or Revoke.
Revoking from Meta invalidates our access token, so messaging through that number stops immediately. It does not by itself delete the message history stored in Yuktoto delete that too, follow section 1.
